Turns Publiax into something an AI assistant can operate directly - describe what you want in plain language and the agent calls the same actions you'd take by hand.
When to Use This Tool
You want to ask Claude (or another MCP-compatible agent) to draft, schedule, or publish content for you
You want an AI agent to check trending topics and turn them into original posts
You're comfortable running a short command-line setup once
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Go to Dashboard > Settings and open the "MCP API Keys" section
Give the key a label (e.g. "Claude Desktop") and click Generate - copy the key immediately, it is shown only once
On your computer, download the Publiax MCP server and install its dependencies in its own virtual environment (see docs/MCP.md in the Publiax codebase for the exact commands)
Add Publiax to your AI client's MCP configuration with the key you generated
Step-by-Step Usage Guide
Restart your AI client (e.g. Claude Desktop) after adding the configuration
Ask it to confirm the connection - it should be able to tell you your plan and credit balance
From there, ask it in plain language: generate post ideas, check what's trending, draft a caption, or schedule a post
For anything that publishes immediately or deletes something, the agent will show you exactly what it's about to do and wait for your explicit confirmation first
FAQ
No. It only ever sees an internal account ID for each connected platform - never passwords, OAuth tokens, or other credentials.
Publishing immediately and permanently deleting content both require an explicit confirmation step - the agent always shows you exactly what it's about to do first.
You need to be comfortable running a couple of terminal commands once. After that, everything happens through normal conversation with your AI agent.
Delete the key on Dashboard > Settings at any time - it stops working immediately, no separate app disconnection needed.
